“KHURDAROAD HALF MARATHON BHUBANESWAR 2025” BY EAST COAST RAILWAY SPORTS ASSOCIATION (ECORSA), KHURDA ROAD

• To promote Health, Wellness and community bonding in the locality.

The East Coast Railway Sports Association (ECoRSA), Khurda Road, in collaboration with the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar, is going to organise the “Khurdaroad Half Marathon Bhubaneswar 2025”. This flagship fitness event will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025. This high-energy marathon aims to promote health, wellness, and community bonding in Jatni, Khurda, and the greater Bhubaneswar region.

A press conference in this reagard was conducted at the conference hall of Divisional Railway Manager’s office, Khurda Road. Shri P.K.Behra, Vice-President, East Coast Railway Sports Association (ECoRSA) briefed media regarding various categories,features and benefit of the Half marathon.

The KhurdaRoad Half Marathon, Bhubaneswar-2025 will kick off at morning 4:30 AM on 1st June’2025, from the East Coast Railway Sports Association Cricket Stadium, Khurda Road, Jatni, with the finishing line at the Railway Stadium U-turn from IIT Bhubaneswar.

This marathon includes all type of participants i.e students, professionals, homemakers and others. To cater to runners of all levels, the event features four exciting race categories. i.e 21.1 Kilometres timed Run, 10 Kilometres timed Run, 5 Kilometres Fun Run, and 2 kilpmetres fun Run. Achievers will get a total cash prizes worth ₹2 Lakh. All the participants will be rewarded with an e-certificate on finishing, T-shirt, Timing BIB, finishing medal, Breakfast and hydration support.

Categories & RegistrationFees & cash prize:

 Registration fee Rs 699/- for 21.1 Kilometres Timed Run (Age group of 18 yrs and above)
 Registration fee Rs 599/- for 10 Kilometres Timed Run (Age group of 18 yrs and above)
 Registration fee Rs 499/- for 5 Kilometres Fun Run. (Age group of 15 yrs and above)
 Registration fee Rs ₹499, for 2 kilometres Fun Run.( Age group of 8 yrs and above)

The cash prizes will be Rs 12000/-, Rs 9000/- and Rs 6000/- for first, second and third positions respectively, in the 21.1 Kilometres Half marathon, for the male & female categories, based on age group., Similarly the cash prizes will be Rs 10,000/-, 7000/- and 5000/- for first, second and third positions in the 10 Kilometres run category, for different age groups and for male and female. Participants are encouraged to register by 15.05.2025 and join the official WhatsApp group for updates.

Shri P.K.Behra said that Half Marathon is more than a race. It is a movement to inspire healthier lifestyles and stronger communities. Beyond promoting physical fitness, the marathon serves as a platform to raise awareness about eco-consciousness, women’s participation, and community collaboration, he added. He requested all to join Half Marathon and be a part this transformative event.
