KHURDA ROAD DIVISION CELEBRATES “69th RAIL SEVA PURASKAR” AWARD CEREMONY.
Khordha district, (Sanjiv Kumar):- 56 Railway employees felicitated with Rail Seva Puraskar-2024.
Khurda Road Division has celebrated the “69th Rail Seva Puraskar-2024” award ceremony, at Retang colony Railway Kalyan Mandap, to honor the sincere efforts and hard work of its employees. 56 Railway employees of the division were felicitated by Shri H.S.Bajwa, Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road, for their outstanding performance. Smt Gur Simran Kaur, President, East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Oganisation, Khurda Road was present along with Shri P.K.Behra, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operation) and Shri Subhrajyoti Mandal, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infra), to encourage the awardees. Speaking on the occasion, Shri H.S. Bajwa, congratulated all the Awardees for their determination and exceptional commitment in fulfilling their responsibilities to attain the goals and targets fixed. He appraised that the Khurda Road division has achieved six efficiency shields in the Vishisht Railway Seva Puraskar-24, organized by East Coast Railway. Highlighting the achievements for the financial year 2024-25, Shri H.S.Bajwa, said that the Division has ranked 1st amongst all Divisions in freight handling in terminals, i.e loading & unloading put together and the division has ranked number-3 in Indian railways in terms of originating freight loading. He further added that, apart from passenger train services and facilities, new trains like Vande Bharat express were introduced in 2024-2025, redevelopment of many stations has been under taken under Amrit Bharat station scheme and top priority has been given for infrastructure development. During the award ceremony, the Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road felicitated meritorious Railway men and women with “Rail Seva Puraskar-2024”. He urged all the staff to rededicate themselves in making the Khurda Road division , a best division in Indian Railways. A Colorful cultural programme was conducted during the occasion by the staff and by the children of Srijankunj, Utkal Public School, and Bharat Scouts and Guides, Khurda Road. All the Branch officers and the members of East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organization, Khurda Road, were present during the Award function. Shri R.N.A.Parida, Sr. Divisional Personnel officer, Khurda Road Co-ordinated the programme.
